What is a Podcast?

Steps to listening to podcasts:

1. Find a podcast you'd like to try - search the web or try one of the educator recommendations
2. install a podcast aggregator/player on your computer - iTunes is the most popular but there are many
3. Start the program and subscribe to the podcast - in iTunes you can use the iTunes directory or from the Advanced menu --> Subscribe to Podcast and enter the URL
4. The program should automatically download the latest podcast - listen to it!
5. If you like the podcasts, you can download older ones and stay subscribed - if you don't like it, delete the subscription
6. If you want to download the podcasts to an iPod or other MP3 player, you can use iTunes or other software to do that - some programs/hardware will "sync" automatically and with others you will need to drag and drop the audio files to the device (and subsequently delete the ones you've listened to).
